Our dentists head the team at Antigonish Family Dentistry and are dedicated to providing the best professional dental care services to you and your family.

Dr. Ernie Wotton

Dr. Ernie started Antigonish Family Dentistry back in 1998 with his wife and business partner, Bernice.

Together they worked very hard to build the practice to what it has become today. Their vision was to create an authentic East Coast family-friendly practice where everyone leaves with a smile.

Dr. Ernie is a graduate of the Dalhousie University, and attended the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies in 2005 for training in cosmetic dentistry.

He is a true believer in ongoing education and makes sure that he and his team attend as many educational seminars and conferences they can fit in. Continually improving and honing your skill set is part of being a great dental practitioner.

When Dr. Ernie isn't busy making Antigonish Family Dentistry the best it can be, you'll find he is hunting with his sons and the dogs or enjoying a meal at his favourite restaurant, Gabrieau's.

It's never too late to have a smile that you can really be proud of. With advances in dentistry today, there are plenty of options for patients to achieve the smile of their dreams.

Dr. Latwaitis

Dr. Brian Latwaitis has been practicing dentistry for over 30 years.

During his many years of dental practice in Halifax, he also taught clinical skills to many dental students through his affiliation with Dalhousie Dental School.

He continues to take courses to be current in his skills and scope of practice. Lately, he has been working in Guatemala offering dental care to those who would otherwise not have access to it.

In his spare time, Dr. Latwaitis has recently replaced marathon running with biking and looks forward to his annual fishing adventures with his friends.

Dr. Jessica Sanford

 Dr. Sanford graduated from Dalhousie Dental School in 2016 and began her vocation with Antigonish Family Dentistry. Originally from Dartmouth, she made her home in Antigonish with her where in her fur baby and in her spare time she enjoys exploring the outdoors and the areas east of HRM. She can also be found in the classroom in her off time, learning new dental techniques.  Drop by to say Hi and welcome Dr. Sanford to Antigonish.
