About Us: 

Antigonish Family Dentistry, a vibrant and growing multi-location practice in beautiful Antigonish, Nova Scotia, is seeking two full-time Associate Dentists. Our team is proudly known for our compassionate patient care, highly trained team, and strong community ties. Antigonish offers a small-town feel with big community spirit, modern amenities, and a warm, welcoming patient base. 

We serve over 12,500 patients and average 100 new patients a month and are seeking support to care for an existing patient pool as well as support our high demand of new patients. What We Offer: 

Full Clinical Scope: Engage in your choice of a range of procedures including Bread & Butter Dentistry, Fixed-Prosthodontics, Basic and/or Advanced Endodontics, Basic and/or Advanced Oral Surgery, Pediatric Dentistry and/or Removable Prosthodontics.  

This associateship offers opportunities to expand into implant placement and advanced restorative work for candidates with the necessary skills and commitment.

Technology & Equipment: Abeldent Software, Omni Cam & CEREC (MCXL Unit), two iTero scanners, Pan/Ceph, Solea Laser, Soft Tissue Diode Lasers, Digital Radiographs with sensors, fully paperless office, and access to a 3D printer.

Duties 

  • Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive oral examinations and diagnose dental conditions. 

  • Treatment Planning: Develop and execute treatment plans to address patient needs, including restorative and preventive care. 

  • Treatment Procedures: Perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, and root canals. 

  • Patient Education: Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and recommend preventive measures. 

  • Team Engagement: Collaborate with dental professionals and manage patient care for optimal oral health outcomes.

About You:

  • Graduate from an accredited DDS/DMD Program or successful completion of the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB) Equivalency Process

  • Registered and in good standing with provincial licensing requirements

  • Valid CPR certification
